Change within the management of the Mail.Ru Games

With the end of this year Alexander Goldybin will pass on the management of Mail.Ru Games GmbH after four successful years in order to dedicate himself to new challenges. Amongst other things he will advise Mail.Ru Group on its future strategic direction. In addition Goldybin is planning to advance several own projects.

“Alexander Goldybin has influenced the company in no small measure over the last years. He has been able to achieve important goals for our company on the highly competitive market of online games”, says Vladimir Nikolsky, Vice President of the games division of the Mail.Ru Group. “During this time he successively expanded our portfolio and our presence on the international market as well as establishing the Mail.Ru Games GmbH as our European headquarters. Alexander Goldybin will doubtlessly be a tremendous asset to our company in the future”, continued Nikolsky.

The successor as managing director of the Mail.Ru Games GmbH will be Ilya Mamontov. The 34 year-old has acquired expansive experience throughout his career in different companies of the games industry and has in depth knowledge of the Russian, Asian and European Markets. Currently Mamontov holds the position of Director of Global Publishing at Mail.Ru Games GmbH

His successes in the licensing field, his in depth knowledge of the markets and his extensive network make him an excellent choice for the position of managing director”, commented Vladimir Nikolsky, Vice President of the games division of the Mail.Ru Group.

Furthermore Roman Golovatchev, currently Head of Operations, has been advanced to COO. The 31 year-old will also take on the responsibilities of deputy CEO.
