Since 1998, we have focused on creating and developing convenient services that are full of features to help our users communicate with old friends and find new friends.

Our free e-mail service Mail.Ru was our first and largest communications project. The Mail.Ru e-mail service was the first publicly available, Internet-based, Russian language e-mail service and is one of the largest services on the Internet in Russia today with an average of 22.8 million average monthly unique users in Russia and 10,2 million average daily unique users in Russia (according to TNS, June 2011).

In the years that followed, we expanded our communications services to include the Agent instant messenger (launched in 2003), Russia’s largest IM network based on monthly unique users, and our My World@Mail.Ru social network (launched in 2007) which is the third largest online social networking site in Russia, based on daily unique users (TNS, June 2011).

In 2010, we expanded our portfolio of communications services further by acquiring Odnoklassniki, Russia’s second-largest online social networking site, based on daily unique users (TNS, June 2011) and ICQ. Founded in 1996, ICQ is Russia’s second-largest IM network, based on the number of monthly unique users in Russia, and a leading provider of IM services in certain other countries, including Germany, Israel, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
